“Very happy with Insect Shield for providing a comfortable pair of jeans just in time for a vacation that included lots of hiking. The lightweight material with a bit of stretch made them my first choice for hiking in areas known to have ticks. I found that the size 4 fit true to size, which, in my case (5' 1"), means I did need to shorten them a bit. A slight quality-control issue with the waistband fastener on my particular pair (poor buttonhole finishing) is the reason they didn't receive 5 stars.”
“Personally, I’ve always found that Lee jeans fit my body shape better than Le*i’s when I’m buying “work” jeans. These did not disappoint so this is my second pair (one in each shade). I’ve had Lyme’s - believe me, you do NOT want it and Virginia is a happy place for ticks, so I feel so much safer with these jeans, and my other Insect Shield gear. Socks & pants for yard work, shoes sprayed with their aerosol, hoodie & neck gaiter for skeeter season. I’ve used their gear for years and recommend them to all my friends (dog gear also makes GREAT gifts).”
“I was not sure about the sizing of these jeans and ordered my usual size. At first, they felt a bit tight, plus a tad higher on the waist than I am used to. However, after wearing them for only 20 minutes, they felt extremely comfortable and soft. The stretch is perfect, and the waist fits very well. I am glad these jeans are a bit higher in the back, and I think the higher waist is more in the current style. These jeans feel so much more comfortable in contrast to the Dickie jeans that I bought last year, which are stiffer and whose waistband gaps enough to need a belt. The length, 31" fits perfectly as well. I am 5'3" and normally take a 30" length, and these cover my ankles a little better. These jeans are actually more comfortable than my regular, non-insect repellent jeans, and I do not want to take them off! They look great too.
I have purchased a number of clothing items from Insect Shield for myself and my family members. We live in the country surrounded by woods but never have a problem with ticks while wearing Insect Shield clothes. My husband, who has had Lyme's a few times and was hospitalized with Anaplasmosis, is very grateful to wear Insect Shield treating clothing, and so am I.”
