The charcoal is not just another name for black, it is more of a dark gray which I like as it is easier to pair with blues.The fabric is light enough for summer, but substantial as well. They look nice enough to go to an outdoor party/picnic in and you won't look like you are dressed for a hike
I love the pockets, which are large enough to fit my phone. In tights in other brands, I often have a medium, for a sleeker fit under a tunic and a large for a roomier fit. But in other brands a small fits.
Since I wasn't sure of the sizing, I ordered a small and a medium. I am returning these for larges, because this does run smaller than I am used to. Once I get the larges, I feel that they will become my summer go to pants .”
“Two great things: keeps mosquitoes and other biting pests away. Like I wrote in other review, anything that bites or stings love me. Now they might still fly around me, but I don't get bit. Second, the pockets. Right size for phone and when working with horses, good idea to keep phone close. They fit true to size, I'm 130 lbs, 5'6", 27" waist; that being said, these come up high on the waist (above it really). But hey, when bending over these stay up and comfy, keeps the pests at bay... I bought two and I really like them.”
“I've now worn these leggings for a week of regular weeding in tall brush. I'm 5'6" so I was worried they would not adequately cover my ankles, but the coverage is good. Pockets are large enough for an android phone and tight enough that the phone stays put. Waistband is comfy and most importantly, the leggings don't slide down with bending and squatting. Overall a very good pair of bottoms!”
