Ace 1 - 'All Weather' Lightweight 1 Person Hiking Tent 2.05kg orange / no groundsheet Reviews

5 Rating 3 Reviews
I have not used the tent yet but set it up and was impressed with the its quality. It has more robust materials that some tents and this is what I wanted. If I am in the mountains somewhere and a storm brews I want a tent which won't let me down. The floor of the tent is strong enough that a groundsheet isn't necessary. This is one less thing to worry about when setting up the tent. It's a one person tent but you could probably squeeze in a second person if necessary.

I bought the tent for a Whanganui river paddle from Taumaranui to Whanganui city. I used it the night before we left, and after that it rained so much that the camping spot people upgraded us to cabins. Since then I have used it a couple times. It's very quick and easy to put up, easy to get in and out of because of the wide elliptical zipping of the net door, and the fly extends out giving a space to leave shoes etc. It's comfortable inside and there is a bit of space beyond your outstretched feet, (I'm only 168cm tall, but had an airbed - I know, I know) to stash extra bedding (I was at festivals, and had my duvet with me, not on a hike with a sleeping bag) and clothes. Easy to set up, floor keeps the water out and plenty of space for a small tent.
