My old tent is the tunnel variety and was not so fun in rain as the sloped door ushered the rain in. I am glad I upgraded to the MXC2 as it has vertical sides and sloped fly so good for rain ingress as well as windage. I am happy with the quality and it seems sturdy enough. Only used twice so far but am not anticipating any issues around corners, clips, zips, or seem sealing. Was a little worried at this low price point but can not find fault. The twin vestibules are a good size and protect gear left out. Looking forward to the next couple of seasons.

Bought this along with a tracker 2 groundsheet - which fitted perfectly. Great little tent. Well designed. Very comfortable for one, snug for 2. Only complaint was it’s near impossible for someone my 183cm build to get in & out without getting a wet back. A necessary evil is it needs to be somewhat low to minimise weight. Len is very good to deal with & I bought a titan 3 off him some years back. Still going strong. Best all round 3 man tent I’ve owned.

used it for 2 nights so far, both were continuous rain and wind and i didn't get single drop of water on me, ventilation was great and had space to leave my boots outside the sleeping area but still under cover

Took hiking round Abel Tasman. Light and small enough to add to pack. Had a night of very heavy rain and fly held up perfectly. Cosy for 2 people but for weight and size awesome quality and value

Good simple tent with a few extras like the gear pockets and roof vent 'hold open' thing.

Len is awesome - I spoke with him on the phone before purchasing the MCX 2 Lightweight Hiking Tent. I was told there was no matching footprint, but that the closest fitting one was the Tracker 2 Groundsheet. Len then said if the groundsheet didn't fit, to give him a call back and he would be able to send another one out and do an exchange. All was a bit experimental at the time but the tent arrived a day in advance of an event (amazing work to your team). It rained 1 night at the event and I was warm and dry in the tent, no issues whatsoever. The MCX 2 is a really great sized tent as well. The only disappointing thing is the quality of the tent pegs - my 1 person tent is a Nemo Hornet so I was used to having a more solid tent peg set up, however I raised this with Len and he kindly sent me some more heavy duty pegs free of charge.

This tent is amazing. So much quality for such a light tent. The double vestibule means far more storage than the single man tent I've used in the past. It even has some extra pockets in the inner tent, handy for keeping your phone and torch safe.
