“Good option to travel light. Great to see a video on how to put it up as the first time following the instructions didn't come up as well. This tent is best by setting the outside layer first then the inside. The opposite of the other 2 tents I have. Once you know that is easy and pack down nicely.”

“I've recently used the tent on a bikepacking trip from Auckland to the Timber trail. It's light and small but I needed to carry a walking stick to use as a pole which was easy once I figured it out. Same with the tent, once I figured out how to erect it quickly it's been perfect for my needs.”

“Excellent value i have one and purchased a second (slighltly improved design) one for my daughter for a trip down the Clarence rive. A walking pole pitch is best cos the airflow under teh fly removes condensation - I uise a split kayak paddle and it works well. Sometimes i just use the inner (insect proof mesh) under a large tent fly or when sleeping in the back of my ute.”
“Brought this in 2017 for the Tour Aotearoa in 2018. Used it then, used it on Sounds to Sounds, Tuatara, West Coast Wilderness Trail and a number of other bikepacking trails, used it hiking around the South Island.
Great little tent, good size for 1 person + enough to keep most gear out of the weather, minimal condensation.
Only minor drawback is that it could use a little extra reinforcement around teh site where the main pole takes the strain, but I've padded that, and its been doing a great job for the last 6 years.”
Great to hear the tent is going well after so many years! And good to get feedback/suggestions for improvements. We've made a few tweaks over the years and continue to do so. Cheers!
“This is a great little tent. I used it on a Hollyford valley tramp and because it takes a little bit of time to set up you get eaten alive by the local sandfly population. It survived heavy rain and strong winds. Retrospectively i would have been better to have purchased a self standing tent. No criticism of the tent just need to be aware of the environment in which it is to be used.”
