“After I've been home for a few days and reflecting over my 2 weeks in Japan, I want to revise my opinion of Evo Hotel. While the hotel has many positive aspects that I mentioned in my previous post, ultimately I have to rate my experience there as unsatisfactory. The cheap unfinished plywood construction and the lack of wash clothes we could deal with. But the lack of a working thermostat in the room and the unavailability of a comforter or blanket that fit the bed were unacceptable. When paying over over $300/night for a room, we should not have to leave a window open to cool down the room or suffer with comforters too short to cover from neck to feet. We will return to Hakuba, but will look to other accommodations for our next visit.”

“Great hotel, newly renovated rooms. Only bad was the bathroom sink which is too small to even wash hands at such a weird angle. Breakfast is the same everyday though so if you’re staying for multiple nights then be prepared to eat the same thing everyday although they were basic and good. I didn’t use the onsen as several times I went to check out, there were lots of people who didn’t follow onsen rules/etiquette.”

“Loved our stay at Evo. Great room for our family of four. Staff were incredibly helpful and lovely. Perfect location right at the bus station. Made life so easy.”
