I have yet to take the vehicle on any difficult terrain, but on paved roads and dirt service roads the UCA has done it's job just fine.”
“Worth every penny. Better alignment with the built in caster that allowed the camber to get into spec. Love that if a ball joint needs to be replaced down the road I don’t need a press. Handling has improved on my 4Runner since installing them after the level kit and I know when I do a full off road suspension lift I’m all set with the UCA’s.”
“Great UCA's with top notch fit and finish. I bought these for extra caster on my 2.75 inch lift. Having an extra hand available to help line up the long bolt with the (4) UCA washers saved me some headaches. As mentioned in the JBA installation literature there's specific 4runner A/C and hard brake line mounting bolts that need to be removed which will provide just enough flex to maneuver tools and hardware during removal and installation. The instructions were adequate however more installation photos or a link to an installation video would be helpful.”
“Received parts with note that the ball joint boot was not the JBA designed part but was Toyota's boot. This also requires there to be 2 washers to fill in the space that JBA's boot would otherwise fill. It seems also the provided boot will not hold as much grease and it seems quite tight on the ball. One also must wonder if any testing was done in this form? It is also my opinion that customers should be informed of this deviation while making their purchase not as a surprise when taking the parts out of the box. While Charles from Customer Service did reply to me, the answer was not adequate and he left a couple questions unanswered (it's been several weeks now). I'm not installing these with the current boots and would not recommend them in this form.”
