“It feels bad putting a low score because I like Jimmy Joy. I absolutely loved the taste of Plenny. I understand that sometimes changes in formula are needed, but the taste of this new version is saddening. It's too salty and almost savoury-tasting. It reminds me slightly of V8 (vegetable/tomato juice), but then mixed with pancake batter flavour. I don't think I'll be buying anymore Plenny if it stays like this. Even though it's drinkable, the taste is a bit too unpleasant. I really hope that the old version can make a comeback because otherwise I will miss it sorely.”
“Have used the v1 plenny drink for a while now, I love it. However the v2 plenny drink isn't there yet as far as I am concerned. In terms of texture and taste it is a step back for me unfortunately. I would much rather have the v1 drink.”
“Came here from Soylent and wanted to try another convenient RTD plant-based meal since Soylent was starting to give me GI issues. The packaging is good and fits in many bags and pouches but like Troy D. said the taste is pretty bad. It has this chalky, stale Flintstone vitamin with vanilla aftertaste that makes me want to gag. I am pretty full after forcing myself to drink half of it (I am an average sized woman), but even during quarantine I can't bring myself to finish the bottle. Will not be repurchasing and will try to give these 2 boxes away.”
“Plenny Drink is honestly tastier than most "real" foods. The only downside is that it weighs a lot per "meal" and that it's rather expensive compared to Plenny Shake. Those "cons" are however unavoidable considering the product's nature; any "pre-made" drink like this is bound to have the same drawbacks. It's an amazing product for what it is, but I mainly use shakes or bars because they're more convenient to bring around (less weight, less waste). To me, Plenny Drink is like a luxurious complement to other JJ-products. Highly recommended.”
