“I was pleasantly surprised by how food-like these are. I feel like I'm eating (and enjoying!) a real human meal, not just sustenance. Other reviews have said they're spicy. I agree they have a kick but if you're someone who likes spicy food in general, it would be nothing. The flavor is great, as is the texture. The only texture complaint I have is that the beans and stuff like that don't rehydrate very well, even after sitting for well over 7 minutes (other reviews are also right that 5 minutes isn't nearly enough), and feel more like, well, dried food that got wet. I also don't like the shape of the pots. They're too tall and narrow, making it difficult to eat with a utensil.
My major complaint though is the packaging. One of my pots broke open in transit, coating all of my other products, such that I had to wipe everything down as to not attract bugs etc., and wasting a perfectly good meal, which is a bit disappointing because these pots are pricey compared to other JJ products. This problem could be solved if they were delivered in packets rather than bowls like mentioned in the survey after purchase. This would also reduce waste and allow packages to be send in smaller boxes and let me avoid the stink eye from the mail man who had to carry this huge box up to my fourth floor apartment.
I have my complaints, but the product itself is solid. I'll definitely consider ordering again in the future.”
“Loved the convenience of this format (also is 100% recyclable, so no worries with that). It's pretty quick to boil water in the microwave, stir it and wait 7 minutes.
You get a great texture. And the flavor is... so yummy! I loved how spicy it was. I'm not a fan of lentils and beans, but I really enjoyed these Pots.
They could be a little bit cheaper, at least the same as the Bars and Drinks, but overall in pretty happy with them and surely will repeat.”
“I just love all 3 flavors of Plenny Pot. It helps me eat fully complete meals while doing weight loss.
Unfortunately, it says it's sold out :(
Any indication on when it might be available again?”
“Plenny Pots are my favorite product so far from Jimmy Joy, expecially the pasta one, I would honestly love to eat them as a staple food, but at this point thats not really affordable.
Per 2000 calories, even with a subscription he Plenny Pots come to about 15€, while Plenny Shake is about 6€ and bars about 11€.
I get that the Pots require some more ingredients and packaging than the Powder, but still think 3€ per Pot is very expensive, expecially since you can get a comparable instant noodle meal for around 1€ in most supermarkets.
For now I wont oder any more of them, I really hope they drop the prices in the future, around 1,5€ per pot would seem fair to me.”
“Plenny pots are lovely, healthy, complete, tasty, but would be better without any sugar in the ingredients, a little less spicy and a little less liquid, more consistent (maybe adding more rice/lentils/pasta?)
And would be even better with whole grains cereals like the rice or the pasta.
Would love to see new salty flavors too <3 !”
“Recently tried each different flavour, and I must say, I really enjoyed the Creamy Cajun Pasta one. Vegetable Korma Rice was quite nice too, but in contrast Tikka Masala is not soo tasty.”
“I tried the three recipes and they're good. Only downside for me is the red and green pepper that are too in your face for my liking. As a result the flavors have 20% of the taste can get samey samey as you get pepper in all of them.”
