“Since the new regular Plenny Shake formula contains much less protein I decided to try the Active version, since I work out a lot. Unfortunately the only flavor is banana. I haven't eaten a single banana for the last 30 years since I can't stand the smell, but I still made the jump.
... and it was actually ok! Not good, but ok. I guess it's better if you like banana. The important thing is I can stand the taste. Word is more flavors are on the way, which certainly would be nice.”
“Flavour is very subtle and not overly sweet, which is great. Also the mixability inwater is very good. However, I do not not care much about flavour and would much rather see a neutral variant without an artificial sweetener (I know that it is very unlikely that sucralose is harmful, but I try to avoid it anyway).
Currently I replace about one meal per day with Plenny (˜1000kcal). I would consider to replace more meals if the formula/ingredients was explained in more detail. For instance, of which compounds the vitamin/mineral mix is composed (e.g. which isomer of vitamine E: alpha tocopherol?), and what is the ratio omega 3:6:9?”
“Plenny Shake Active is a great product for bodybuilding. I have used the classic Plenny Shake for a long time while bodybuilding and always had good results, but with the classic shake going lighter on protein, I had to change to Active. It does not disappoint. The banana flavor is nice and it doesn't get boring. The macro nutrients are well balanced, maybe a tad carb-heavy, which complicates dieting but I use it mainly for bulking or maintenance anyway. In the future, a light version would be nice that would keep the protein amount high and drops the calories/carbs.
I use it as my daily staple and only have to add 1 meal to the 3 shakes I drink, which saves me massive amounts of time cooking, but also measuring/calculating what I'm eating.”
