“- Awesome. Changed my life.
- I tried Banana and Strawberry, taste is good. Could be enhanced but I don't really care as I use Jimmy Joy when I don't have the time to cook, which is not that often.
- One thing I don't like : I feel that I can last without being angry for the entire afternoon, but when the hunger sensation gets back, it gets back at one time, and I feel like I haven't eaten in days. It is very unpleasant and it ruins my concentration. I don't feel this effect with traditional food.”
“I actually love and look forward to having a Plenny shake, the flavours are fun, the texture is just right (I've tried other brands (huel) that come out lumpy), plus the design on the bags are so lovely! They're ideal as a quick meal, especially for breakfast or lunch which is when I take Plenny x”
“This is my new breakfast. I make a shake as advised and spent the rest of my time in the morning for whatever. And afterwards I'm full at least until noon.
I haven't tried the coffee or the mango kind but so far my favorites are strawberry and vanilla. Banana and chocolate are also very good nevertheless!”
“I've been eating Jimmy Joy products (mostly Plenny Shakes) for almost two years now. I really hate preparing food and since I discovered Jimmy Joy my life has become genuinely better. I struggled with delivering enough calories to my body, procrastinated with preparing food or was eating junk. Since then I gained some weight (hopefully not only fat!). It's super convenient and still tasty after all those hundreds of shakes. I tried eating Plenny Shakes as the only source of calories, but it doesn't work for me. I still crave normal food, so after some experimentation I ended up with around 60-70% of daily calories from shakes and the rest from other sources, seems like a good balance for me personally.
Comparing with Huel (only similar product I tried), Plenny Shakes aren't as thick in their consistency (makes easier to drink fast and wash the shaker afterwards), solubility is better, have less protein, have an oaty taste (while Huel has beany taste). I like Jimmy Joy more, but I guess it's up to personal preference.
I regret it still is a bit weird from a social point of view to eat powdered food on a daily basis. It definitely doesn't seem strange in a crisis like we have now, but I wish I could just grab a shake in a workspace kitchen without feeling like an alien. To avoid awkward social situations and unnecessary questioning of my life choices, I prefer eating powdered food at home.
Overall I definitely recommend.”
“Convenient, tasty and affordable! You won't get bored easily because the flavors are subtle and complex. And combining them can result in some interesting results!”
