I really enjoyed how easy it was to grab a Soylent for lunch each day and never worry about what I was going to eat. It was also great to know I could drink my lunch while working if I needed to. But the near $3.5 I was spending each day wasn't sitting well with my wallet. I decided to try the Plenny Shakes after hearing about them as a Soylent alternative on Reddit, and I'm so glad I did! They give me the same sort of experience for less than half the price (shipping included), and I found a flavor I liked far more than my favorite Soylent. I haven't tried Vanilla yet (it's on the way) and I don't plan on trying Banana (I hate banana-flavored things), but I have tried the Mango, Strawberry, Chocolate, and Coffee flavors. Mango was a surprise hit for me and will be my go-to (unless vanilla knocks my socks off). I looked forward to drinking it each day and enjoyed it even more with a splash of mango juice added. Strawberry and Chocolate weren't as good, but both were serviceable -- nothing offputting. I was surprised to find the coffee flavor to be my least favorite. My favorite Soylent flavor is their cafe vanilla version, so I thought this would be my winner. Unfortunately, it was the worst for me by far and ended up being five servings I had to really force down. I've never had an issue with Soylent in terms of negative effects, and Plenny was no different. There were zero digestive issues. In fact, I felt much better consuming Plenny Shakes than I ever do eating lunch out. They also similarly left me feeling full -- an easy 3-4 hours before I felt like eating anything again. At the end of my experimenting with Plenny Shakes, I'm a new subscriber and will be having a shake nearly every day. Soylent, it's your move now.
