Plenny Shake v3.0 Strawberry Reviews

4.2 Rating 727 Reviews
I mostly like the new formula -- you can tell it's more 'natural' in flavor than the old plenny shake, and all the flavors are much more mild so nothing is likely to be offensive. After some time, all the flavors blend together for me a bit, but they're all pleasant enough. I think the new formula mixes a little better and smoother as well.

One of the bags was slightly broken and there was powder everywhere in the package. Make sure to add some airbags in future deliveries! The product itself is excellent though. Just make sure your shipping is too.

Chocolate and vanilla are quality products. Previously tried banana, mango, coffee: awful.

I've been a long time consumer of 'powdered foods', and I've bounced back and forth between Plenny Shake (since back when it was called Joylent) and Soylent. I've always preferred Plenny Shake/Joylent for several reasons. I like the taste of Plenny Shake better, I find that Plenny Shake is more filling, and sticks with me for a longer amount of time, and the price point is better on Plenny Shake compared to the other (Soylent). Plenny Shake recently changed their formula, and while it did take my pallet a few days to adjust to, I do think that it is an overall improvement. The texture is better, less gritty, and the flavor is more muted, which I actually enjoy. I know Jimmy Joy is raising the price on Plenny Shake in the near future, and I just really hope they don't raise it too much, because the price, along with the quality, is one of the primary reasons that I use Plenny Shake as my staple source of nutrients. I'm a full time student, and my income is limited. I love the time savings offered by this paradigm of food consumption, but if the price jumps much more than it is currently, I'll have to go back to a rice, beans, and chicken staple which is more affordable. As the price stands currently I feel that the slight extra cost is worth the time savings, but like I said, if the price jumps much higher than it is currently I just wouldn't have the money to cover it, and I would be forced back to traditional groceries. As the quality, and price stand currently I would 100% recommend this product to anyone looking to save time, and still have a relatively affordable and nutritious diet.

I didn't realize the Plenny Shake has fluoride in it until after I purchased it. Fluoride is poison. However, Jimmy Joy has decided to side with the ADA instead of common sense. You can read about it in their forums: https://forum.jimmyjoy.com/t/why-fluoride-fluoride-is-poison/1080 So, because of this one poisonous ingredient I must give them 1 star until they remove it.

Hey Jeffrey! Apologies for the suuuuper slow reply - your review popped up up again when migrating them to our new shop :) Good news though, we stopped using sodium fluoride in our products in May 2019. The forum entry you refer to was from 2016-2017. Since fluoride is also found in for example water, we didn’t feel the need anymore to add any extra to our formula, especially since a large group of our customers mentioned their objections.
