The Snub Nose Venetian Masquerade Mask – Captain Double is part of the Just Posh Masks’ Venetian stock character range.
Il Capitano was one of the well-known masked stock characters from the Commedia dell’Arte theatre, who was depicted wearing a big nosed half-face Colombina mask. If you fancy representing a true Venetian stock character like Il Capitano, then the Captain Double half-face mask is the perfect party piece.
The mask itself is moulded from high quality resin to give a smooth, comfortable and durable finish, which is then decorated using different kinds of material. On the snub nose, you’ll find two colours, hence the name Captain Double. One half of the nose is decorated with antiqued cream acrylic paint, whilst the other is in a contrasting coloured acrylic that can be chosen in black, red, rust brown, green or blue, to coordinate or contrast with your masquerade costume. The remainder of the mask is finished with stunning gold leaf overlay, snippets of Venetian Art Scenes and edged with gold braiding.
Secured using silk ribbon ties this masks is a perfect choice for Charity Masked Balls, Dance or Theatre productions, the Venice Carnival or a masquerade party
