“The burnet xl, uses XL liberally but this just isn’t the right fit for XL faces. I own older pairs which are shy of fitting just right. The site and name are misleading with the new feature details listed below the item on the site stating they have “SPRING LOADED HINGES” for flex but in reality this is only certain models that have them. I was excited to see this stated for the product along with the new ultra lens. I was led to believe that they finally updated the original Burnet XL with new lenses and spring loaded hinges and thought to myself this would be a perfect pair of sunglasses if so and was excited to order a pair. My decision to try them again with the so called new features, was based off of what info is placed on this product and also from a representative at kaenon whom stated that “this was in fact a new feature implemented for flex and comfort. However, after receiving the newer model, they are exactly like that same old model they have been making for years. The site is wrong and that information I was given is wrong they DO NOT have “SPRING LOADED HINGES” as the sites product page states. Nice ultra lens but Like I said very misleading, sounds really good but misleading. It would be the perfect pair of glasses if it did in fact have this feature for that extra bit of flex for XL faces. Not sure why this is advertised in this way? I’m a a bit disappointed because the quality is there and the lens tech is there but customer service was disheartening. I even tried to reach out to Kaenon afterwards asking for someone to explain this to me, why it states this and why I was misled by a representative and no one will contact me, I’ve sent about 10 emails. Needless to say I am returning them. Very disappointing....”
“This is my second pair of these, though in a different frame and lense combo. My first was the blackwash, and I was worried about them at first that they might be a little snug, but they fit my face well so I didn't worry about it. I lost those, very sad day... Tried others and I found a couple from other brands that were ok but never as good; might be wide enough but sat too far off the face, some hugged but we're way more wrapped than I would like. Finally I took the plunge and bought a new pair, this time in Matte Tortoise and with the Ultra Brown 12 Green Mirror.... Hands down the best pair of sunglasses I have ever owned!! Splits are rich, the fit is perfect, I'm completely in love with them!! If I have to give one knock, my wife hates any mirror lens, but after I wore them for 2 minutes, I told her to get over it, they are worth the gripes!!”
“I purchased a pair of Burnett's 8 years ago and absolutely loved them, but just wished the frames were a little larger as I have large head. Since then, I've purchased a few other brands that I liked the frames, but the lenses were inferior to the Kaenon's. Recently, I saw that Kaenon had the Burtett XL's and I purchased them blindly online without trying on. I couldn't be more pleased as they fit perfect.”
