Outback Shower Reviews

This is more than a shower, it's an all-in-one dishwasher/shower/bike cleaner! After the Overland Expo, I had the chance to use it during a long weekend and it was amazing. Super easy to use and all I needed to bring was a 5-gallon wide-mouth jerry can. I showered, washed my hot feet after bike riding, and washed my dishes (no more boiling water...yay!) Keep in mind that the water pump at the end of the hose is too big to fit in a standard surplus-style metal jerry can. So, avoid my initial mistake and get a plastic one from REI or even cheaper at Grainger. Or you can get a collapsible water container if you have access to a water supply where you camp. I like to be self-sufficient with a jerry can.

Haven't used it yet but it appears to be of excellent materials and construction. Received the shower not too long after ordering. Customer service emails were consistent and informative. Will update review once the shower has been used.

I love the functionality of the shower and how it works! Just tried it out camping for 4 nights at Bass Lake area. Love that the charge on the battery lasts quite a bit and the propane lasts long as well. What I didn’t like was that the water coming out was cooking at around 104 F and it was hot to the body. The water temp going in was around 60 or 70 and so it got pretty hot pretty fast and the temperature dial was all the way down as well. I do love this thing though but I wish the temperature could be controlled better and not get as hot. What I had to do was heat up the water in the bucket to around 92 and then shower with that water instead. But overall love the product!

Really awesome machine. Used it this weekend for the first time, and its lightweight and easy to transport and set up. Really worth the money.

Outstanding unit. I had a Joolca and it tooooo many hoses and connections. The pump was a separate part of the kit and needed a battery to power it. The battery box for the heater was problematic. Your product is far superior in that all there is the unit and two hoses for input and output. Having the pump integrated into the input is genius. I am really happy with this product.

The Outback Shower is awesome! Yes, it is pricey but I was willing to give it a shot and was glad I did. I had looked at multiple competitors and all had their own shortcoming (either there was no on/off function on the shower head, were too bulky, or had old lead acid battery technology). The Outback Shower addresses all of those issues. I have only used it once so far on an overnight camping trip and I plan on throwing it in the truck for all my camping and beach trips going forward. It’s compact, has a long lasting lithium battery, and heats the water very quickly. If it’s within your budget, it’s worth the expense.
