“Have broken 2 over 30 years, once by my kids, once by my grandkids. If the door os closed too hard pressure is transferred to the face plate. Apart from those two incidents, they work as expected and no other issues.”

“I can't give Whitco a five star rating because the screw holes in the handles are not threaded and the supplied screws are not self tapping (self threading) as described in the enclosed instruction leaflet. The original handles have threaded holes and compatible machine threaded screws. So couldn't easily use the new handles, but no problem using the original handles, as the reason for lock replacement was just a failure of the springs in the lock mechanism. P.S. I did an engineering apprenticeship 60 years ago.”
