“I had high hope that the product is good, but the locksmith who installed my lock cylinder had advised me to rather keep my current key lock cylinders, as the make of this cylinder is not even up to the standard for providing security to main front screen door. I am absolutely disappointed to hear this and decided to take the professional advice. I am now left with two new, keyed alike key lock cylinders which is deemed useless. I had called Keeler Hardware to ask to take them back as I did not use them, but they would not take them back for a partial refund.”
“Internal lock catch interferes with the key a bit but there isn't a lot of space there to work with.Old austral assembly was the same. Only replaced because I couldn't find the key and return spring the old handle was broken and sagged.”
“Received new Austral door lock to replace approx 30 yo Austral handle/lock. The fit was pretty much perfect. I left the old striker plate in as the new one had screw holes offset to what was there. We like the 'snib' feature in the new lock which wasn't present in the original. Grateful that Austral provides replacements for their older stock.”
