Good idea. It helps keep the exposed wire ends covered so they do not cut an animal.

We always used small "wire nuts" (electrical connectors for electrical wire connections) for protecting ends of high tensile wire, because we knew of nothing else. They worked fine, but would occasionally not hold. These are better.

Great finish to the gripple wire connector. Keeps loose ends from snagging clothing and makes the trellis wire look like a professional job

A little pricey. Leave your cuts at least 3 inches away from the gripple. Works very well to clean up new installation. We'll need to see how long they last in the sun. DEFINITELY will keep you from getting cut by the cut ends of wire.
