I recently bought my second Kencove Strip Grazer, when I needed to "protect" a popcorn patch some distance removed from my sweet corn patch. I had used the strip grazer for a couple of calves a few years back - with perfect success! Thus far this summer my sweet corn has tassled and "cobbed" and NO RACCOONS yet!! Praying that continues for the sweet corn and the popcorn. My only complaint was that the plastic housing broke on first use two years ago where I had connected my strip grazer to a 3/8-inch rebar ground rod. That connection needs to be stronger. It still works, but it hangs there like a limp noodle!

We have several scattered garden and perennial beds, otherwise known as deer food plots (ha!). Have used these for the past several years very effectively to reduce deer damage. Batteries last my use about 4 to 5 weeks. I like being able to tell that the charger is on and working from a glance across the yard. Bought two more this year. Be careful not to touch the terminals after installing new batteries. Just make sure the unit is turned off. It will knock your socks off if you get across the terminals on a fresh set of batteries.

I used my fence charger for the first time this weekend, to keep my mare in her portable panels out camping, and it was very easy to setup and get working.

Cut a ground rod for the post and drove it about 6" then set up a quarter mile of polywire fence all in less than an hour. I hooked it up to a new 12 volt 880cca battery that i use on a diesel relift unit. It is holding 4.8-5.2 kvs. I dont't know yet how long it will last before recharging. It has been 10 days with sub freezing temps at night and it is still going strong, i set the pulse rate to the lowest setting. No cattle have challenged it.

I use this on the electric netting surrounding my chickens. Seems to be very effective.

I have bought several of these chargers to keep the cattle out of large bottomless stock tanks. I like the the adjustable pulse rate to conserve battery life once the livestock are trained.

I like the fact that it fits on a T-Post which can also serve as the ground rod. I glad I read all of the reviews especially those complaining about how difficult it i to open the battery box latch. The review kept me from breaking mine. The unit if handy for a single fence line or a small coral.

At first I laughed at the thought of using 4 D Cells to power an energizer. We have some big 18,000 volt chargers on the ranch. These really do last over a month on the D cells and I use them when having animals in a few days around newly planted trees. We do have one on a longer permanent stretch with a marine battery and solar panel.
