I needed a charger for electric net for sheep. This one provides the ability to go portable and still provide the shock needed. I liked it so much I bought a second so I could have 2 separate groups...

Just bought this charger to allow me to fence more soybeans (deer plots). I have been using a Parmak 12v charger for several years and have been pretty pleased with the results. the Parmak is able to push out around 7k volts with no load. Put a couple strands of turbo wire around a couple acres and that'll drop into the 5.5-6k range. Still good for keeping the deer out. ZERO grass btw. Planted an extra 3 acres of soybeans this year and knew the Parmak wasn't going to be able to handle it all and keep the voltage where I wanted it. I paired this Stafix charger with a deep cycle battery, 40 watt solar charger (Kencove), solar charge controller (Kencove), and some of the good Kencove braided electric twine. Fenced in about 3 acres with 3 wires. With no load the Kencove pushed out 11k volts! Hooked up to the fence it only dropped to 10k! The deer won't come near this thing! I'm not sure how to mathematically determine just how much I could practically fence with this thing but I do believe I could easily double or triple that 3 acres and still have enough juice to keep the deer out. For anyone thinking about buying a Parmak 12v (which honestly has served me well for a few years), this Stafix paired with a few other simple items (listed above) will make a far superior setup. I have my items placed in a Rubbermaid bin with a brick on top. Battery sits outside on the ground and the wires just run out under the lid. Doesn't have to be air tight.
