Pros: seems to be solidly build, came fully charged and ready to use, packs a good punch (~ 3kV on 2 sections of old el. net), lighter and smaller than comparable Gallagher unit (S20). Cons: on/off switch is a "virtual button" with no tactile feedback and the indicator light is on the back of the unit and is invisible in bright sunlight. So there is no way to tell if it's on or off from a distance. And if the unit is on the ground, after you turn it on or off you have to bend over, shade the indicator with your palm and wait for the indicator to blink (or to make sure it's not blinking), while fighting off your dogs, who think you bent over so that they can lick your face. Makes me miss my old S20.

This Energizer is fantastic. I bought a voltage testor and it's always producing the amount of expected charge. It's really easy to use. I use it for chickens with electric netting. Easy to mount on a moveable post. We've been having a lot of rain and clouds...it keeps on working as it says it will. Liked it so much recommended to my dad

I just wanted to let Kencove know how much I appreciate all the customer service help when ordering your fencing products throughout the past 3 years. I've been using the NPX 48" tall positive/negative system for poultry with a Stafix solar powered energizer for several years now with no problems whatsoever. I decided to go with this style of fencing because, where I'm located, I hear and see packs of coyotes almost daily. When you're raising rare heritage breed chickens, that spells disaster waiting to happen. I have also seen red foxes sneaking around on numerous occasions. With the Kencove electric netting, I've had zero problems with these predators. When first seeing your product in magazines, I thought that it was probably cheap and a waste of time, but I have had to do very minimum maintenance on the fencing, and it has held up very well under some pretty harsh weather conditions. I would recommend Kencove products to anyone raising poultry or any other livestock. The set up process was very quick and easy as well. This past winter we got several ice storms, and it never smashed the fence down. It's a great product, and I'm actually getting ready to build another pen with the same style of fencing, just in a smaller roll. Thanks for a great product!!
