This kit simplifies building H-braces. Install hangers at the same predetermined distance from the ground. Cut the horizontal post to tightly fit between the vertical posts, place the horizontal post in the cradle, and secure it.Comes complete with two Dacromet-coated, heavy-gauge steel hangers, and twenty (20) #2D drive Dacromet-coated phillips/square 1¾in screws.Hardware kit comes in packs of two, buy one kit for every H-brace.

“The braces are sturdy but be prepared to bend them into a proper 90 degrees. For whatever reason all of mine were bent beyond 90 degrees. Also, the included screws fit either a #2 Philips or a square drive which means they don't work that well with either. It's best to have a screw that is made for one or the other. In this case though the square drive works best, just don't drive the screws in too fast.”

“The gripple approach to h-brace cabling is extremely simple and very quick. this is a real time saver, plus it increases safety by not leaving a figure-8 for horses to get a foot caught. my only complaint (minor) is that the gripple tightening tool is overpriced, and the E-clip that holds it together popped off (a better quality E-clip from the hardware store solved that).”
