Cable is 0.165in in diameter. For maximum strength and safety, install Gripple 18in-24in away from post.Tensioning tool (TGTCC, TGTTP, TGTC) required for tightening.Gripple Plus and cable break strength = 1,320 pounds.

Great Product!!! Much easier to handle and install than conventional 12.5 Guage bracing wire. Can't say enough good things about it!

I've used about 30 of these on my corner braces.Very easy to install, have had a couple of the gripples break or slip during installation, which is a little annoying. However they are very strong once installed, they are holding together my 10 strand high tensile fence,so you know there tough.

I did the mathematical calculations about using wire and the usual bracing wire method versus the Gripple Quick Brace System. Of course a large roll of wire, staples, and a twitch stick would be more economical but I gave these a shot. I am glad I did. Installation is easy and the end result is excellent. The time savings alone are priceless.

I've build a number of h-braces and corners over the past year. I used these quick braces on every one of them. Quick and easy to use. As some of the other folks have mentioned, some of the gripples don't hold. I've had to go back and tighten some of them after stretching my woven wire. I knocked off a star for this reason. For the ease of use and the ability to remove the gripple without destroying the brace wire outweighs the need to tighten again...for me at least. I am buying more soon.

I used it to brace corner posts. Cable strands started breaking when I tightened with my gripple tightening tool. I couldn't tighten as well as I should because the gripple couldn't hold the tension properly.

This is Doc in WY. With the nice weather we have had this fall we are replacing all of these with the old conventional 9 gauge wire and twister. As much as I would like to be able to recommend these because of their convenience, I cannot. See my previous post. The gripples slip on the cable. While they may work in low tension applications, they were totally inadequate for our high tensile small ruminant fencing. If I could score them as a "0" I would. You have been duly forewarned.

These are quick and easy to install but have issues in maintaining their tension. The large gripples have a tendency to slip on the cable, as does the tensioning tool. Both work much better on solid wire, but not so good on cable. As a temporary solution we have placed 2 gripples in series and the system works better. We may eventually have to replace them all with 9 gauge brace wire / time will tell.
