The Spiralator - 4" Pack of 100 Reviews

4.5 Rating 12 Reviews
Read Kencove Farm Fence, Inc Reviews

The all new Spiralator is a revolution in tube insulators. Unlike a normal fin tube which you must put on before tensioning the wire, the Spiralator is put on after the wire is tensioned. A quick twist of the wrist and it snaps onto the wire. Comes in 4" and 6" length complete with 2" barbed staples, or 500 piece bulk box without staples. Also available in 50' coils, excellent when diagonal brace wires are too close to hot wires.

I was concerned these may short to the post in the rain. Hasn't been a problem.

They are a great idea, but a little hard to get on the wire.

Great insulator. Better have tight wire and hand strength

I'm not sure how long this type of product has been on the market, but I wish I'd known about them sooner. My prior "solution" to broken insulators on an already installed fence was to take a new insulator, slice it lengthwise with a knife or box cutter, then try and pop it on the fence. Needless to say it was difficult, somewhat dangerous (to do the cutting if you don't take proper precaution to protect your fingers) and awkward. The Spiralators, while a bit more expensive and, as others have noted, difficult to get on the wire at times, are, in my estimate, worth it.

This is my second bucket of Spiralator insulators, takes a little effort to get it on 12.5 GA wire, but seems to work well for those places another insulator is needed. I put the slit down, hoping to keep water out. Have not noticed any arching. Takes the snow weight better than other after thought nail on insulators.

I have only installed 6 of these so far, but they seem difficult to get over the wire.

They are awesome! As far as I am concerned, they are the ONLY repair insulator for high tensile fencing!
