Used this today to wind up my poly wire that I had around the garden. This worked better than I had expected. Last year I wound the wire around my arm and when I went to put it up it kept twisting and getting tangled. This will make next year a breeze to put the wire back up to protect my garden from rabbits, raccoons and deer. I thought it was a bit pricey for plastic, but after using it, it's worth it's weight in gold. Would definitely recommend.

I need a hand held reel for my Camera Cable trolley rope that would hold up to approx 800 feet of 2.8mm (7/64") Kevlar Cord with Polyester Jacket no stretch rope and this works great, I put 500 feet of the cord on it and have room for at about 300 feet more if needed. This is a great well made sturdy mini-reel that you can change out the reel really fast to switch rope types. It even has a locking pin on the side to lock the spool, very convenient! You can buy the reels separate if needed, Great buy at a great price! Very happy ( :

Doesn’t stay locked, the spool moves allowing it to slip out of the lock position to easily...

We use these to set up temporary paddocks between permanent fences when moving the herd (cows) through our different sections of pasture. Very, very easy to use. If dropped hard or trampled, one or occasionally both little red plastic hooks can break off (can still be used if it's only one). Once a handle broke off too (that one got dragged behind a herd of cows for a long ways). Otherwise, extremely easy to hang from even a pretty wimpy fence, light-weight and easy to carry around, very fast to reel up if you keep your reels totally full (a 656 roll of poly twine works well to fill them). Half-full reels require your hand to spin faster to get them reeled up, so keep them full even if you will never need that much twine.

Great for strip grazing. Bought this as a replacement for another I bought ten years ago. After 10 years in the sun, the plastic finally deteriorated and broke. Good for short to medium fence lengths. Much handier than a full size reel and light weight to hang on a fence.

I have tried a lot of different reels. This is by far my favorite for short-distance cross fences. I have been using some of mine for almost 5 years. I only had the cows break one.

Nice economical reel. Wish it was a bit more stout and has some way it hooked onto a t-post better. Great for making large poly-wire gates at the ends of paddocks. Also good for putting in orchards to protect trees if you are using animals to graze down the ground cover.
