While they are more substantial than some others that I've purchased, one broke on my first push into the ground.

I have had these posts for seven years now to make temporary fence when camping with my horses. I like the stirrup in helping to put them into the ground as well as wiggling them up and out with my foot. I have also used them for splitting up pastures; they have stood up well for the months in the sun. I like the height and the different clips for many types of fencing. I am well satisfied!

I needed electric rope support posts that were light weight, and taller than the typical step in posts, to quickly put up and take down as needed around small grazing areas for our horses to be in (during daylight hours). I did not want to have to set up and remove metal t-posts for this temporary purpose. The posts seem sturdy, altho' the light tension of the electric rope can bend the posts some at the corners. However, I use guy ropes pegged down to stakes to support the corner posts and that keeps the posts from bending inward from the pull of the electric rope. I have had to do that on shorter step in electric posts as well to keep them from bending, so that just seems to be part of setting up any of these light weight step in posts. The stirrup step in loop at the bottom of the posts is great, much better and easier to use than the posts that have a short step in peg protruding from near the bottom. Placing the posts around the perimeter was just as quick as I could stand one up and press it into place with my foot in the stirrup. Stringing the electric rope was easy as well, there are plenty of sturdy built in holders for both rope and electric tape, spaced just right for what I need. I strung two lines of rope, put my support stakes with the guy ropes at the corners, connected it to my electric charger, and it is up and going. Horses are happily grazing in the new area. The horses are used to white electric rope, so the visual psychological barrier keeps them from leaning on this fence. Which is a good thing, as the posts are not strong enough to physically keep a horse in (but that is not their intended purpose).

They are so easy to stick in the ground and tall enough so I can rotate my horses to new areas of grass outside their paddock... Highly recommend!!

I think it took me longer to get them out of the shipping box then it did to install them. They feel pretty still in the ground after they were installed, there are a lot of places to put your electric tape of wire on each post.
