This step-in post is 45in total length, and the top clip holds the fence 38in above the ground. The molded clips are strong and easy to use, with 2 clips for 1½in wide polytape and 6 clips for rope, wire, and narrow polytape. The rugged, UV-resistant, H-beam post has a 7in metal spike.

“Because the O'Briens were back-ordered (damn) someone there suggested I try the stirrup style so I agreed to try three. (Before I switched to O'Brien from the similar Kencove, which I think I bought about 150, those were a disaster. They break just where the spike ends in the plastic. And they break all by themselves when out in the field. And the "clips" also break. I think you did credit me for 50, which I appreciate, but it was still a bad deal. I always search for the spike but with so many of them one will probably end up in a tire...... (Haven't had any negative issues with the O'Briens yet other than the price!) So back to the stirrup style. I picked one out of the box, put my foot in it to push it into the lawn (soft soil, no rocks) and the spike (with the plastic immediately around the spike broke off)!! So not a big fan! In fact, called this morning to see about a refund on the 3, mostly on the basis of principle. Very glad I didn't order more "to try". Thanks, Brian”
