These have the spring loaded flap on the ratchet portion, ensure positive locking of the strainer. Quality product to make a tight fence or brace!

Sadly a third of the order were bent. Not a great design. Will choose a different one next time.

So far have had a problem with 2 coming apart while winding, believe that the universal handle cause the problem, but not sure why the strainer does not have some sort of retainer to keep the arms from bending out away from the spool, when this happens spool, locking arm and spring all come apart. Again I want to stress, I believe that the Universal Handel allowed the arms to come out while winding.
