Made in the USA with a solid zinc cog and class 3 galvanized clip, the KIWI Online Wire Strainer is our strongest non-splicing strainer. Simply install without cutting the wire and tighten with a half-inch drive ratchet. Also handy for splicing and re-tensioning high-tensile wire. These strainers should not be used with coated wire products. Use Kencovefts EZ Daisy Handle (TFD) or the Rapid Tightener (TFDR) to make installation fast and easy.

“Works great to 250 pounds of strain. Doesn't work well at 400 -500 pounds, just don't ask me how I know. The locking pin can be a little difficult to get through at times. Helps to have a helper but one person can use by themselves, it is just a little tricky to get the tension just right. I preferred the ratchet style tensioner for my installation, but they cost more and you have to cut the fence, adding resistance into the system.”

“I like these right behind the Grapple. They are light and are easily put in place anywhere along the fence line. They really a simple genius idea! Lots of good solid contact insures there is no loss of power flow due to their use.”

“works great. helpful to have a second pair of hands if you use a socket wrench. easy to re-tighten. i've lost the wire retainer and used #9 wire effectively insterad”
