KIWI Online Strainer Reviews

Read Kencove Farm Fence, Inc Reviews

Made in the USA with a solid zinc cog and class 3 galvanized clip, the KIWI Online Wire Strainer is our strongest non-splicing strainer. Simply install without cutting the wire and tighten with a half-inch drive ratchet. Also handy for splicing and re-tensioning high-tensile wire. These strainers should not be used with coated wire products. Use Kencovefts EZ Daisy Handle (TFD) or the Rapid Tightener (TFDR) to make installation fast and easy.

High quality product at a great price. This model has 6 adjustment holes as compared to the gallagher model which has 8 holes. These also seem heavier and thicker than the gallagher model.

A lot of metal for a low price '1/2" ratchet tightens well, but a third hand helpful to attach the clip when going for very tight The handle would provide the extra control by using a leg or body to hold back evenly, freeing up a hand. If you are buying a bunch of these I'd get or make a handle. I really like the ability to use on existing wires without cutting. I'm building long runs, tightening with puller, and then adding these as wires loosen from age, an economical solution.

Same price and specs of the other product but this one is made in USA. So naturally I only keep this one on hand. Works every time and is easy enough to tighten or even loosen a line. They are cheaper than the ratcheting strainers and have less moving parts, so are less likely to fail. And if you lose the pen, two nails work fine.
