I wasn't familiar with Gripples until my deer fencing project. Really glad I got one. Took me a while to catch on to how to use it but now i am pretty fast at tensioning a line quickly. Well made, works every time, very light. Worked with all sizes of Gripples. I found it worth the cost. Also must say Kencove is the place to get it and the Gripples. Best price and service.

This tool and the entire Gripple system works really well. What a time saver! I bought this from Kencove about a year ago. Over that time, I have used it to install about 20 of Kencove's quick braces. The tool broke where it grips onto the wire/cable. If you are going to use this frequently, I would advise buying one of the more robust options. I now have to replace mine which is aggravating since I'm nearing the end of my fence projects. Wish I would have went with one of the heavy duty tension tools that Kencove offers. Hope this helps someone trying to decide between the two.

We simply put 4 fence staples in each end post at 2 feet and 4 feet with enough room between the staple and post to loop one wire thru. We then overlapped the wire at the connection point, installed the Gripple, and tightened. It was so simple to use. We left the fence staples loose for future adjustments, so basically they keep the wire from moving up and down. I have and will refer this system to friends.

Until a pine tree required a fence be mended in subzero temperatures I figured vice grips and pliers were money savers. My previously frostbitten fingers were saved for another day. The tool was easy to use, and the tensioning system worked flawlessly even in a biting wind with gloves. I would never go back. A thing of beauty.
