Installation Tool for Ring Insulators Reviews

4.4 Rating 11 Reviews
Read Kencove Farm Fence, Inc Reviews

This tool makes it quick and easy to install ring insulators for offset electric wires. The lag-screw-type ring insulators are turned in with a low-speed, battery-powered drill. The ring insulators hold ΒΌ" electric rope, electric twine, or wire 6" away from a wood post.

Use with IRI2, IRI2W, or IRI6.

I have had one for years and bought this one in fear of losing the original.

Good tool for the insulators it is made to install. Still, care must be taken to keep the screw for the insulator in line with the chuck insert - or the insulator may become slightly mangled.

These insulator drivers work well for installing the screw style, wooden post insulators. They are simple, durable and inexpensive.

I ordered 20 bags of 5" extended T post insulators, and was sent 20 bags of the regular T post insulators. I even checked the numbers on the website with the numbers on my order form, and they match, so someone didn't check when they packed them in the box. :( Kind of bummed because I was going to be putting up fence this weekend, and now I can't because they sent the wrong insulators.

too much pressure when you start the screw end into the wood causes wobbling. But once started it goes in quickly. Pre-drill a pilot hole works awesome.
