Our 5-light voltage tester is quick and easy to use. Check the voltage on your electric fence by inserting pin into ground, then touching the probe to the fence wire. Voltage level is shown with neon indicator lights. Measures up to 8,000 volts.

“It seems to be fairly accurate but hard to see in the sun. I think it's best for people that don't want to spend the money for a digital voltmeter but still need some sort of indication of what their fence voltage is.”

“I am 6'6" so I stuck the ground into soil and tested. The lights blink per cycle but go in 2000V increments so it pretty much just tells you it is on. I pulled the wire because bending over is lame and the ground thing broke off. I crimped the wire onto 5 ft of high tensile line and use that to ground out without bending over.”
