Quick-Coupler Valve - ¾" - NPT Thread Reviews

4.8 Rating 16 Reviews
Read Kencove Farm Fence, Inc Reviews

Plasson Quick-Coupler Valves allow you to hook up a full-flow valve as quickly and easily as opening a door. When the ¾" male riser (VCR) section is pushed into this quick-coupler valve, it easily snaps into place and opens the valve fully. A simple squeeze on the snap arm of the riser releases the connection and automatically shuts the valve off. The highly visible, hinged, yellow cover keeps dirt out when not in use. Working pressure is 120 PSI. NPT thread.

The Quick-Coupler Valve can be used for above-ground or buried water systems. If using a buried system, it is common to protect the Valve with a piece of 8" PVC pipe and cap.

I have been using these coupler valves for years, for a 30 acre pasture irrigation system. I just wish you would stock the 1" valves. These are much stronger and resist breakage if hit by machinery or stepped on by livestock. I have 40 of these valves of which 10 are 1". The 1" have never broken while I have replaced several of the 3/4".

Have used these extensively for rotational grazing of bison in a couple northern states. Installed on poly-pipe runs to each field makes moving water tanks quick and easy. Have had them freeze during early frosts. Once the sun hits them and they thaw, waters flowing again. Also make end of season draining/blow-out easier.

These Plasson field water hydrants are great. I've had over 100 in service for over 15 years and only rarely do I have problems with one of them. Dig your trench, lay the pipe, install plastic compression tee's, thread in the hydrants and cover the pipe. You have water in every rotational paddock and nothing in the way to run over with equipment. It helps to put a 6-in. dia. piece of pipe around the hydrant to keep soil from covering it up.

These Valves are of good quality and should do everything our farm needs them to do. Putting in a watering system has helped us to maintain clean water around the clock for our herd.
