I used it once for less than minute and then nothing. I would never buy it again.

I sold this meter to two customers and in less than six months, they both returned it to say it stopped working. It looked like a good idea, but it just doesn't last. Back to the drawing board.

This is a great meter however, the connection between the wire and the ground probe breaks easily, which happens on all the meters of this type I have purchased. I just re-attach the wire to the probe with a small clamp. I was thinking, there has to be a better way to connect the wire, I just wish the manufacturer would find it.

I measure voltage on high tensile wire. It works fine. I have a Kencove charger, too. I got it through Spring Meadow Fence Co.

This is a good hefty feeling meter, very useful for those with an fence charger operating off a battery. However, upon using it to do a ground rod test, I found that the meter does not come on when measuring low volts on a ground rod. So I got out my other high kv fence meter that Kencove used to sell and it gave me a reading of .2 kv, (200 volts) which is a good reading for a well working ground rod, however, this meter would not come on so it cannot be used for a ground rod test it seems.

Great Voltmeter, provides a numerical number to your fence status rather than just some lights.
