“Recently i have purchased the keto-mojo device Basic starter kit and i am asked to review it now.
Unfortunately i can only give a 2-3 Stars for the device and app, because of some basic inconveniences in both the device and app’s customer experiences.
In general i will be recommending the device for other users, but mainly because it is still exceptional on the market in combining both the device and the app. But here is the list of my ‘complains’, for which i am going to reduce the number of stars in my evaluation:
1. Whenever the app is opened - one get a error message on the screen telling you that there’s a synchronization error. One gets it even after the successful sync with device.. I get to see it a lot approximately every minute, with no connection to trying to sync anything! Vvvvery annoying.
2. Releasing the strips from their individual packages is a pain. Definitely not a task to do after one has already pricked himself. At one of my testing sessions though, i was forced to do that after the prepared in advanced strip did not function. 3 strips in a row didn’t perform (very annoying by itself, as they are quite costly) and at the end (success with the strip N 4) I was “punished’ for the delayed measurement in that my readings were not recognized by the device for the GKI index, as they were a few minutes apart from each other .. Also quite an annoying experience..
3. The set up of the device is unbelievably primitive. One has only one attempt to do the set up, after it any change requires reseting the device and loosing all the readings! Who can believe that at the age of iphones, one should change some settings by taking the batteries out of a device and deleting all of its memory… There is no even a button for it (turning the device off or accessing the setup.. ). Extremely annoying, as, for example, in order to change the alarm settings one has to loose all the devices’ readings, and i don’t want to do that even when those are already synced with the cloud.
4. The device memory management is also obscurely primitive: i cannot manage or delete any of the device‘s readings without reseting the entire device?! - (in the same primitive way of taking its batteries out). How inconvenient is that?!
As a summary- one should definitely expect more from a 21 century device with a cost of 1€ per measurement.”
