“I have compared the readings to 2 other ketone meters and it is consistently the same as one of the two, so it appears to be reliable (the other is of by only a fraction that is really too small to be concerned with). I find the unit's shape a bit bulky and I wonder if there is a way to run the light off, since in some angles that obscures the reading, so I often wait until the lights go off--I also think it is a bit of energy waste. I love the strip in the box! That is a definite benefit. I have been using the unit for ketone testing only so cannot comment on its glucose testing ability. I prefer 2 units for ease of glucose and ketone testing without having to fumble with a blood drop on my finger for another strip. If they had included some test glucose strips in the package, I may have tried it but since it was not included (hint: maybe it should be), I ma not going for it. Overall it is a 5*”

“Warning: this is a very LONG product review- but if you have been doing the Keto diet and your urine strips never turn pink or registers ketones... don't give up! Read On! METER SHIPPED FAST! not 1 sec. too soon- ;) I had been following the Keto diet, 10 carb/20 protein/70 fat macros, logging every bit of food. Exercising almost every day... and checking my urine with Keto sticks... (But they only turned pink on the 4 day of a WATER only fast,but at least I knew they worked; besides I spent more money on a different brand to test, wondering if they were a junk batch.) Now...I'm not saying "Keto diets don't work", because I was loosing weight weekly, my shape started to change, my mind clarity increased, And the biggest thing... I wasn't HUNGRY! Truthfully! But it bothered me SO MUCH... I just couldn't prove to myself I WAS doing it RIGHT, because those urine dips refused to turn pink! “Over all I really like it and I'm glad I chose this over the competition. I am having a little trouble where it seems it will give me an error code on the first strip but then will avcept the second test strip. Not sure if that is operator error or not but it's painful to have to use the extra strip at one buck apeice. Still much cheaper than test strips on other monitors. So glad this is available and would buy it again.”
