“The meter and strips seem really great. I've used them for two days, and compared them to my Precision xTra, and they were in line with the readings from that meter. There is one point of confusion for me: it seems that once you open the ketone strips and use the little code stick in the meter before you use any of the strips, a ticking clock begins and the strips are only good for 30 days, although there are 50 strips, and they have an expiration date months and months out. And I don't test every day, so I could never use 50 strips within 30 days. I'm not sure what will happen when I try to use a strip after the 30 day mark after the first time I used the coding stick. If the meter won't accept a strip after 30 days, that will be a problem. The instructions were confusing, I read them several times and looked for answers on the website but couldn't find a clearer explanation. Despite this, I think the meter is terrific, and very glad to see much more affordable ketone and glucose testing. Thank you!”

“I was using PrecisionXtra and the cost of glucose and ketone strips was high. I compared the results of both products and found them not identical but within a close range. Sometimes one would be higher than the other, sometimes the reverse (both glucose and ketone readings). I'm satisfied with my purchase. I do wish the holder had a zip bag for needles, rather than a plastic pouch that fits in a pocket.”
