“If you can set aside the time to follow the directions and not rush to wash your hair for a couple days, this gives excellent results. I have medium length medium brown hair with maybe 30% white. The Medium Brown color perfectly covered my whites and blended into my natural color beautifully. The smell was pleasant enough, and the process was easy compared to other hennas I've tried. End results lasted a good month with washes about twice a week. The fade has been so natural that I hadn't noticed until about six weeks later.
Note that henna stains and the gloves provided are not very good (my nails were stained for a while), so use your own if you've got them. I also protected the skin around my face, neck, and ears with coconut oil. Highly recommend sleeping with an old shirt over your hair for a few nights, until you're positive all the color is out!

“I chose Khadi because they provide excellent directions and I am inexperienced. As well, this was my first natural dye. I like a lot about what I saw. I need to experiment more with color choice. Although I followed the directions, the dye did not do well for my grey. I also do not care for how dark the rest of my hair turned out. The mess doing this was a surprise, particularly that the color care oil would be inky. And yet it does not cover grey whatsoever--despite description. I will purchase another Khadi dye in a different color and see what happens. But it does not seem to cover grey well. And definitely is a lot of work. If it ends up working out later, I will never search for another brand.”

Don't skip Color Prep. If you need to address gray hair we always recommend using Color Prep before coloring with our Medium Brown shade. Color Prep will deposit pigment, preparing your white hair for our Medium Brown Hair Color shade. Another suggestion- double the recommended processing time if you have resistant/stubborn grays. Let Color Prep and Medium Brown Natural Hair Color process for 120 mins, for optimal gray coverage.
