“Making the switch to natural hair color products after years of the familiar yet harsh traditional home-color treatments can be difficult because your hair will feel different at first with absolutely no synthetic product coating it. My hair was very damaged after a few years of harmful drug store boxed dyes and I had to have tons of product in it for my hair to be manageable and not look so dry. Stick with the transition to Khadi though because using this hair oil after about 24hrs of letting your color develop naturally will nourish your hair and bring back the softness that you had before the toxic boxed dyes from the store ruined your hair. I let mine set overnight after thorough application. I have very long, very thick hair and I used quite a bit (8-10 pumps) of the color care hair oil to completely coat my hair from roots to ends. After washing the next morning, my hair felt and looked wonderful. I will continue to use this overnight about 1x per week to maintain hydration for my hair (mid-lengths to ends especially).”

“This oil is very regenerative to my hair. It brings out the shine and softness. My only suggestion would be to have a pump that allows for less oil to be dispensed seeing as I have thinner hair. I have to use sparingly. Otherwise I love it along w other Khadi products. Khadi has helped me go from bleach blonde back to my natural dark brown color with grace.”

“I think Khadi is a healthy product, my hair feels great after using the Color Prep first, then Ash Brown immediately afterward, and I waited 48 hours before putting the Color Care Hair Oil in my hair. I do wonder why my hair color turned out a Dark Burgundy color instead of the Ash Brown color I wanted. Try mixing in some Blue Black into your Ash Brown mixture next time. You can start by mixing in 1 tablespoon and see how that goes.
If you're covering up, resistant grays just use Color Prep in the areas that need covering. If dealing with resistant/stubborn grays, it's recommended to let the Color Prep process for (120 minutes) for optimal gray coverage. The Ash Brown shade should, however, be left to process for the recommended 60 minutes. If the color sits too long, it will pull more red. Another vital step when mixing your color is to pay close attention to the recommended water temperatures. If water is too hot, that will affect the color turning out warmer than usual.
