“The clear instructions really helped me use this product. It makes a LOT so you can probably half it if you don't have really long hair. The cap helps keep the warmth/moisture levels up while it's working. Love that it doesn't make your hair feel weird. Takes a long time to set but worth it. Good natural color.”

“I’ve been using this color for several months now and I always get consistently good results. I love how easily any stains that can happen during the dying process wash away from any surface (I even got it off a white towel). However there is one major drawback: heatstyling and aggressive products do wash the color out almost instantly. Not a problem for me because I use neither regularly, but when I got my hair done in the salon I could see definite before-after effects. If you use heat regularly you might have to re-dye your hair every two weeks instead of the 1-2 months I usually go.”

You mentioned the color fading with the use of heat and aggressive products. Heat and products can indeed have a big impact of the longevity of our plant based color dye! For those that use heat regularly, we recommend that you color your hair with khadi all over more than once. Coloring hair only once with khadi will only create a color base. The difference of coloring 2-3 times all over is that you're building up the color and enhancing the color pigments.
Another tip is to use the lowest possible setting when using heat tools. Using products that contain no silicones, and incorporating our Color Care Hair Oil into your hair regimen.

“I have been using khadi hazel for many years, in Europe and then in the US, ordering from Europe. Hazel covers my greys well, without too much redish tone. The color is a medium/ light brown that blends well with my mefium brown natural color. I love that this product is consistant in color and quality. Before using Khadi, I used to use Lush henna but it caused itchiness to my scalp. Khadi color does not have side effects and this is problably because of its clean ingredients and no frangrance added. Thank you khadi for having a US store now!”
