“Over the past six years, I have been struggling with a sudden allergic onset to PPD and chemical color developers found in most (if not all) hair color treatments. Thus, I began the journey of finding safer alternatives. I've been misled by claims of all-natural products or allergy-friendly products, only to be covered in rashes or facial swelling. Oh, the pain of this process. My scalp and skin would take months to years to recover. Therefore, I needed to be far more careful with the coloring options available. We're talking Sherlock Holmes level. Because I felt as though my allergies had eliminated all hair coloring options. I couldn't go back to hair salon coloring the same way ever again. This was truly upsetting.
When I would ask about natural alternatives with cosmetologists they had little to offer as an alternative from their experiences. Most natural hair coloring products still contain toxins (PPD as a big example). I was left with the impression I had to wing it on my own. It's been disheartening especially knowing I valued my health far more than my hair coloring. Yet, I didn't want to fully give up. There had to be something safe and usable for my hair.
So, when my son announced his wedding date for this spring, I immediately began looking for a natural hair color process that worked for textured hair like mine. This is when I found Khadi. I felt confident this would be the right match for me based on its natural components, no chemicals, developers, or hidden toxins. Just add water, nothing else. This sounded like the right fit for me. After all, my allergy isn't something to mess around with and I planned on following directions closely.
So, last week I began the journey with Khadi hair color and I'm honestly relieved and equally ecstatic with the coloring experience. I performed the patch test first and all went well. A great sign. I color-prepped my hair using Amla Volume shampoo, followed the instructions closely, and went for it. I was still a little apprehensive as to how it would look...if the color would take, but I would soon know how well it would first hand.
After fully coloring my hair and seeing the color development the following day...I'm so thrilled by the color quality and its coverage that I nearly cried. I've had no allergic reactions. None! I can't tell you the relief of this. No blisters, rashes, or welts..nothing...I had a positive hair coloring experience.
Thank you for providing a safe and easy-to-use product, with all the steps clearly outlined and the process simplified. I am beyond grateful. The results left me with beautifully naturally colored hair. My grays are gone and most of all, I have peace of mind. I can finally safely color my hair again and enjoy my son's wedding feeling and looking great! Thank you so much!”

“Have been using Henna for many years but was tired of hit and trial with getting the right color to avoiding dryness that henna can cause. Khadi hair color is everything I was looking for!”
“My scalp is very sensitive and normally my scalp itches, and I lose a lot of hair with a professional hair coloring or box hair color. This hair color went on very different (smelled like wet grass), but I had no scalp irritations, I did not lose extra hair, and the color is beautiful. I will purchase this again!”
“The color comes out well and this is my favorite henna product I have found... I don't give it a 5 star because it doest always cover the grey in the dark brown- sometimes it is more of a copper color. This occurs even when using the khadi color prep and shampoo before hand. I also have left it on longer with same results. So, it does the job to disguise the grey, but not totally cover. Overall, I like it though since it is mostly plant based and gentle. My other complaint is it makes my hair dry and hard to brush for the first few days after use. They say not to condition for the first few days so it is hard to make your hair soft and manageable in those days.”
Hi there,
Wow, we love that khadi has become your favorite henna-based hair dye!
