“I've tried a variety of hair dyes over the past couple of years particularly after one time where I've had serious allergic reactions where my face, skin and scalp blew up and I had an asthma attack. With the synthetic additions in the dyes along with ammonia, PPD's and other chemicals I stopped going to salons as there weren't any vegan supported locations. I tried Madison Reed who claim they're free of specific chemical (my skin and scalp say otherwise). I knew for awhile that henna is one of the best, natural products for consumer use. As always I read reviews, did my due diligence and researched everything. Yes I have grey areas I needed coverage. I work as an entertainment publicist so I'm in the public eye sometimes having to attend film events etc so I wanted something that would give me the coverage I needed.
The instructions are very easy to follow, the smell is well.. akin to compost LMFAO.. but we need to remind ourselves.. this is a plant based product so naturally (pun intended) it happens. I noted a couple of reviews where folks complained that it didn't fully cover their grey.. well, no for me it didn't fully cover the grey but it did darken the grey so I'm going to try the henna again and I feel the hair will be darker.. my hope was to get back to black but for now its like a dark brown-black and I'm good with that.
My hair is thick and long and used one package that covered I'd say 98% of my hair adequately. I'll do my hair again in a couple of weeks and see how much darker it gets.. I didn't expect too much difference but overall was happy with the results. Next time I'll be getting better gloves from the local Sally's.”

“I am very sensitive to chemicals and I have dark brown hair with a few grays I wanted to get rid of. The last time I used a dye my hair began shredding and it was man long repair process. Then I tried henna but it only lasted a few washings. This product is amazing. It not only covered my gray without any reactions from my body or my hair, it also improved the shine. The color became more complex over a few days which I loved. It began as dark black but then my brown and red tones came through. It’s splendid for me. And I love the process of it.
