“I like this added to soups that I make such as pea and ham, but do not be tempted to add large amounts to any dish as it is unnecessary and tends to overpower the dish. One teaspoon in my soup and one in my smoothie daily gives me the required dose without overpowering the taste of these foods. The nutritional value given on the label is interesting and informative as I would not have guessed that it contains so much protein and iron so it would be an excellent supplement for vegans as well.”
“I usually take wheatgrass and spirulina, it's been a while since I've used chlorella but this looks and tastes fine to me for an algae based product. It comes in a dark tinted glass jar which is good from a freshness/light damage point of view and it's an organic product.The thing I was most surprised about is the natural vitamin content per 2tsp serving (as stated on the jar); it's 22ug of B12 and 12mg or iron - this is actually loads! I've started on a smaller dose to see how I get on with it but so far so good. I actually think the price is reasonable for the 200g of chlorella (the brand I tried previously was more expensive).”
