“☑️ As described and as advertised.☑️ Well packaged and well presented.☑️ Clear and easy to follow dosage instructions.☑️ Easy to read/understand other key information on labelling to include ingredients and company information.☑️ Adequate security seal under the lid in the form of a basic heat seal. We prefer better tamper evident seals but it’s just about fit for purpose.☑️ Organic but not sure if this is worth the price premium.☑️ Tablets are easier to take but this powder works if you want to add to smoothies etc.We are big fans of pysillium husk to help improve gut health and BMs. This appears to function as well as others we’ve tried. We think this is a bit too expensive but the brand is available at multiple sources suggesting a decent reputation and a level of trust potential over some other cheaper less well known brands.Bulk buy alternatives are also available so it counts down to brand preference and usage requirements.”
“Psyllium husk is high in fibre, and is found in many fibre/digestive supplements as the primary ingredient. I have found it very effective, and this particular brand works just as well. You don’t need much, and therefore this quantity will last a while. The taste is neutral, though the texture might take some getting used to. It is expensive, however it seems comparable to other brands available online.”
“I use pysillium husk in my baking as I'm gluten free but if I don't bake , I struggle to get the fibre roughage in so thought I would give these a try. I actually thought I'd got the tablets as I don't really want to add this to food but for a powder it's very finely ground (moreso compared to the powder I use in baking). It is very expensive for what it is and the husks I use for baking is half the price. However, the husks I use aren't organic either so I image that the origins of this are better. You are probably also paying for the nice packaging and at least this jar is recyclable over a plastic pouch. As for taking it, it has a long shelf date and is in am amber glass container so should last a good while but keep it out of sunlight as that will degrade it.Husk is used as a binder in gluten free baking so you must drink plenty of water when taking it which will help movements pass more easily.Try a smaller amount first and work your way up in case it doesn't agree with you.”
“Psyllium husk, derived from the seeds of the Plantago ovata plant, is a soluble fiber commonly used to promote digestive health and relieve constipation. In terms of product quality, I can only praise this supplement for being free from any additives and fortified with vitamins from the B range. Since it doesn't have much of a taste, I like to mix it with a large glass of water and some other juice, usually freshly squeezed lemon juice and black pepper, my morning routine for many weeks now. A single jar will last you for almost two months if you take it daily which translates to monthly cost of about £10.It is worth nothing that suggested single dose is 5g while I saw quite a few similar product suggesting 2g only.I appreciate that it comes in powder form, as most supplements provided in this form are free from additives. Additionally, I like that the product is organic and comes in a glass bottle, which can be fully recycled. While it may not be the cheapest option in terms of packaging, the company seems to put a lot of effort into selling environmentally friendly products.”
“I like this organic psyllium husk powder as it's a good way to increase my daily fibre intake.I don't always get as much fibre as I would like, so having a heaped teaspoon of this is an easy way to get an extra serving of it. Personally, I mix it in half a glass of juice and half a glass of water - I mix it half and half so I'm not having too much sugar from pure juice. The product is described as having been manufactured in the United Kingdom, but the ingredients are from "Non-EU Agriculture", so I have no idea where the raw ingredients came from. It says on the jar that it is certified Soil Association Organic though.”
“I've completely changed my opinion of this product. I've noticed that whenever I've used it, I've had much more pleasant movements the next day. Yes it is unpleasant to drink a thick liquid, but the results speak for themselves. I've left my original review below.I use a lot psyllium husk fibre, but none have been quite like this. As soon as I tipped a spoonful into a jug of water I realised I had made a mistake. Thing is, I'd already emptied the jar of powder into my already open bag from another manufacturer. As you can see from the video, this turned instantly to wallpaper paste, and I'm somehow meant to drink this?? Even topping the jug up with water just left more of it to contend with. I frantically scooped out the powder I'd added to the bag and made the second mistake of the evening by trying to flush it down the sink, the evidence of which you can see in the picture. It took two sponges, a dish cloth and a wooden spoon to get the sink clean. The worst part of all this is that because I am unable to completely separate the two powders, my psyllium now has the texture of wallpaper paste whenever I drink it. Yay”
“Not sure why this requires a small mortgage to use regularly - work it out per kilogram and you'll see what I mean. It's astonishingly high in cost. I suppose it being organic can be part of that - I don't always see psyllium husk advertised as organic. Personally I don't care about that, but some may.Psyllium husk more or less is a commodity - it's ground up husks of psyllium. The product either has it or it doesn't - so it really comes down to the value proposition. This is 275 of powder put in a bottle for some reason (why not a small pouch?) I suspect to make it look more premium than it is. I see and feel zero difference between this stuff and the stuff I typically have in 1kg bags in my cupboard for 75% less in cost. There's nothing to see here, give this a miss, unless you insist on organic.”
