“I received the Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I already had an ear thermometer, so I was used to using one. However, I LOVED this one. It works so quickly, which is good with squirmy kids. The app was really easy to download and navigate. I made a profile for each of my family members (myself, my husband, my two kids). When you take the temperature, you can assign it to a member of your family. The app records the time and temperature of each reading and it tells you if it registers as a fever or not. This is really helpful when you have a sick kiddo and have to take and track their temperature. I think it would be useful when going to the doctor and keeping track that way. I would recommend this thermometer.”
“We are loving the Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer. Being able to get real time guidance and track health history, has put our minds at ease—especially while traveling during the pandemic. The app takes only minutes to setup and the thermometer is ready to use. Each family member has their own profile, which is useful if multiple members are sick at once. You are able to track their symptoms, medications and what not. I do recommend setting up the thermometer and profiles in advance so everything is ready to use before a family member actually gets sick.

“This thermometer arrived just at the right time. My daughter had come down with a fever and I didn't trust the accuracy of my other thermometers. I set it up with the app and within 5 minutes and was taking her temperature. The reading was easy, quick, and efficient. I loved the way the app allowed you to document each member of your family and their temperature separately. You can quickly switch between family members and clearly see a timeline of their temperatures. We are required to take temperatures daily for school and this makes the process fun and easy. Even my 5 year old was excited to take his temperature. I loved that it came with batteries and also a lid to cover to tip. Other ear thermometers I have had required me to purchase probe covers, which were often hard to find. With the Kinsa thermometer, I just use a alcohol wipe to clean it off and it's good to go. “I usually prefer the ear thermometers for my children and the Kinsa thermometer has taken it to another level! I like that the thermometer works both with and without the app, especially that it sends readings to your phone even if it isn't nearby and allows you to view them later. It's been so helpful to have a way to track temperatures and other symptoms for each family member. We can easily share with our physician or look back on past readings for reference. The thermometer itself is easy to use and captures an accurate reading quickly. Both my kids say it's comfortable! Another bonus is the ability to view health trends in the app based on your location. I never knew I was missing these awesome features, but I can't imagine going without them now. “This thermometer is incredible. It is intended to be used with the Kinsa app, which was so quick and easy to download and set up. Once the app is set up, you can make a health profile for each member of your family within the app. When you take a temperature with the thermometer (also very quick and easy), you assign the reading to the appropriate family member in the app, and it adds the reading to that person's health timeline. You can also add symptoms that the person is experiencing, medicines and dosages that they've taken and reminders for when it's time for them to take their next dose. Every bit of this information appears on their timeline along with the date and time that it was input. These features will be SO helpful the next time myself or one of my kids is sick, so I can have a record of events to share with my or my kids' doctor. After going to the doctor, you can also add any diagnoses to the health timeline to refer back to later. There is also an option to add notes to the timeline, so once you meet with a doctor, you can add any doctor recommendations or things the doctor mentions to watch for with the illness. I tried the thermometer out on myself and both of my kids. I was surprised how quickly it reads temperatures and how accurate the readings were. It's typically hard for me to take my 9 month old's temperature because her ears are so tiny and she moves around so much, but I had no problem at all. We have multiple thermometers at home, but the Kinsa will absolutely be the only one we use going forward. “I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel for review and I have to say that I love this thermometer. It is super easy to use and I love that you don't need to put a cap on the thermometer to take the temperature. Since I'm only using it in my home and with my child, not having to buy covers/caps is a great feature. The thermometer also takes the temperature super, super fast which is great when you are trying to take a temperature of a wiggling toddler. And finally, the fact that you can connect it to your smartphone, is such an amazing bonus. When I'm trying to keep track of my son's temperature, it's so nice that the app will keep track of it for you and you can add if you have given medicine and what the symptoms are. It's so user-friendly and has a great feature on the app that will also tell you how the sicknesses are in your area, which in this day and age is a great piece of information to have! I would highly recommend families to get this thermometer because it's an easy-to-use ear thermometer, I don't trust the forehead ones.”
