“I received this thermometer from Stellar Panel to try with my kids. Overall I absolutely love it. It gives very quick and accurate readings. My favorite feature is that you can use it with or without the app and "fancy" features. BUT you will love the features on the app. The reading with trigger age specific advice, care tips and when to call the doctor. As a nurse, I think that advice with be great to help with first time parents are parents without a lot of healthcare knowledge and it was spot-on! If I was being super critical, I'd be curious to see how the ear piece works with little newborns, as it seems some wheat big. But I would still 100% recommend this to any parent/ caregiver.”

“I received the Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. The thermometer is easy to hold and feels comfortable in my hand. I do feel that the probe is a little big. They recommend gently pulling the top of the ear back in order to get the probe in the ear for an accurate temp but I still worry if it is getting far enough into those little ears. I love that there is an app where you can add each family member and track their temperatures. This is so helpful when trying to remember temperatures at a doctor's appointment after a sleepless night and especially if more than 1 family member was sick! It also tracks symptoms and provides recommendations for calling or going to the doctor. I would recommend this thermometer to anyone!”
“This is by far the best thermometer I have used. It takes the temps of my 2yr old and 4yr old SO quickly, they don't have time to be annoyed at me! I've compared the temps in this thermometer to the one used at my pediatrician's office, and it was exactly the same. Seeing that made me feel so confident in the ability to detect any fevers.
The app is an amazing resource, with lots of tips for caring for a sick child, as well as showing what illnesses are going around in your area. Honestly, the app is what made this thermometer so amazing. I will never go back to my old thermometer!

“I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel! I have never been a big fan of thermometers in general. Usually they take forever and most of the time because my child moves from being impatient I feel like I never get the right temp. NOT WITH THIS!! This thermometer is the best there is- hands down. It's super light, easy to use, no plastic things to change at the end and the app is genius! I used to put the temperatures in my notes in my phone and it was a pain. The app stores all the info for you! As a mom, that's a huge win. The thermometer takes the temp is less than a second and it super accurate. I've never been happier to have tested a product like this, if you're a mom- you must buy it!”
“I love this thermometer. First of all, it is extremely fast, which is critical when you have small children who don't want to sit still to get their temperature taken. It also doesn't require probe covers, which is wonderful, because who wants to go searching for probe covers that got lost somewhere when your kiddo is feeling lousy (and who really wants to have to buy new probe covers when you run out? What a pain). The app is very easy to use and will give you age-specific information regarding whether you should be concerned about a temperature reading. It also stores the temperature readings so you can refer back to them and don't have to write them down anywhere. AND it allows you to enter associated symptoms when you take a temperature, and also allows you to set reminders. I think the only downfall is that you do seem to need the app to get it up and running, so it's probably not a good option for someone without a smart phone. Overall, I love this product and highly recommend it!

“Holy smokes this product is amazing! As a mom of two, an ear thermometer is a must in my medicine cabinet. This thermometer though is far superior to any I have ever used before. It is like the Apple of thermometers! It links up to an app which allows you to create an avatar for each of your kids. When you use it to take your kids temperature it immediately displays the results on the thermometer and in the app. The app then asks you if your child is experiencing any other symptoms and assists to advise you from there. You are able to save temperature readings and review them when necessary as well as share them via email, text, etc. Additionally, you can keep track of when you gave medication, set reminders, make notes, enter a diagnosis, and input symptoms as they arise. Aside from the incredible technical specs it is extremely user friendly, has a beautiful design (I love the cap on the top to keep the piece you place in your ear clean), and is amazingly affordable. My favorite feature though is how fast it works. Nothing is worse than struggling to take the temperature of a kid who is sick and fussy. The Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer works almost instantly. Literally once you place it in the ear within approximately 2 seconds you have the reading and it's super accurate! I am so thankful I got to test this amazing product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It is definitely going to be my go to from now on when I have to take my children's or my own temperature.”

An added bonus is that it doesn't require costly, environmentally-unfriendly disposable plastic covers. You can simply clean it with rubbing alcohol! The thermometer connects via Bluetooth to a simple-to-navigate app that allows you to track temperatures for each family member. This helps you see when something is out of the ordinary and how an illness progresses over time. There are even options to note additional symptoms, medications, and more, so all your illness info is handy when you call the doctor. I especially loved the ability to share a temperature history, which I used for communicating with my partner and my child's caregivers when my child recently caught a spring cold. The only thing I felt was missing from the app was a graph (as an alternate view to the timeline) and an average temperature calculation for each profile. The Kinsa app has a community illness tracker that connects with health databases to show you illness risk information based on your location, which is nice to check if something is going around and help give you peace of mind. When using an app, it's important to me to be able to control what data I share and know that it's safe. I felt Kinsa did both of these things well. This was by far the easiest, most convenient thermometer I've tried. It has become a staple in our sick day arsenal!”
