“We have long been fans of Kinsa since our eldest son was prone to febrile seizures. and have used both the stick thermometer and this one?the Smart Ear version. Being able to have an easy, reliable way to take his temperature and record all his symptoms in one place was a godsend, especI'lly during those nights when monitoring his fever was necessary every few hours. The reading truly only takes a second and we could take it without waking him (or barely waking him). I also appreciate that it'stores multiple family members' readings and symptoms and that you can still use the thermometer without the app (my husband doesn't have it'synced to his phone, for example). My only wish is a way to turn down the beep it makes when the temp has been taken. it's pretty loud! Thanks to the Stellar Testing Panel for sending this Smart Ear thermometer to me to review.”
“This thermometer is very easy to use, and readings are almost instantaneous. I like that it'syncs to an app on your phone, but it can be used without it also. The app is useful to keep track of temperature readings for the whole family, and also lets you'record other symptoms. My only concern is regarding accuracy. I wish there was some way to calibrate it or test it, as it'seems to give lower than actual readings. I use it as a first step and then use an old school thermometer if one of the kids needs another check. I am thankful that I was able to test this product as part of the Stellar Review panel. It is a welcome addition to our first aid kit!”
“I have had this thermometer for over a year now and it is still one of the best ones we have used. The app is great for keeping track of temperatures and it even sends remI'ders the next time we need to take it. I also like that there are different profiles so if more than one kid is sick, it is easy to keep track of their symptoms and temps. it's fast to use which is crucial when dealing with a wiggly toddler or baby. I can always count on the accuracy of the thermometer as well, it always lines up with others we have on hand and the temp we get at the doctor's office. “We have both the Kinsa ear thermometer and the stick thermometer. Unfortunately, the ear thermometer does not work very accurately. We have trI'd resetting it'several times but it'seems to continuously under record temperatures.
The stick is amazing and my favorite feature is how fast it records temperatures and how kids can see the fun screen on your phone of their temperature. The downside is - it was built to work with older iphones that had a microphone jack and now we don't use it'since we have newer iphones. I also did not love that it had to be hooked up to your phone. I wish it would work both with a phone but without one too since we don't want to always have out phones close to us or a sick kid. It is really nice to have the app tell you right away based on how the temp is taken if your kid has a fever and helps you to track that fever.”
“We love this thermometer for our whole family. It has a quick reading for your temperature by holding down on one button in your ear. My kids love that it has a happy face for healthy and a sad face for a fever. I love using the app to keep track of readings. it's accurate and easy to use.”

“So we bought the kinsa ear thermometer after trying so many others an either not getting an accurate reading or my kids giving me trouble while taking their temperatures. We absolutely love it! My kids actually enjoy having their temperatures checked. They come running as soon as they hear that I'm taking someone?s temp. it's really quite cute! At 2,3, & 4 years old you?d expect them to run away not towards the thermometer. Anyways, I love it because the temp is accurate and the app keeps track of it. I no longer have to try and remember or write the temp down. And each kid has his or her own profile. The app also gives you tips on how to treat your chI'd's illness and when to call the doctor if necessary. It really is a mama lifesaver. I highly recommend it. You can't go wrong with a Kinsa thermometer.”
“I really wanted to love this thermometer. We've had it for about a year and a half, and at first we were fairly happy with it. We have 3 kids ranging from 8 months-4.5, so we've used it on ourselves and each of the kids and unfortunately just cannot get great reads, particularly on the youngest members of our family. I love the rapid-read and I love the feature of being able to track temps, but it consistently shows 3-4 degrees lower than other thermometers we own. 2 stars just because the app really is brilliant, and if the thermometer was better it would absolutely be a must-have.”
