The Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer is currently the most accurate thermometer in my house. I tested it by taking my temperature, my husband's temperature, and my daughter's temperature consecutively. The results were 98.6 - 98.9. It is unbelievably easy to use and only takes a second to read your temperature. My 2.5 year old is able take my temperature with a little guidance, that's how easy it is. I like that the Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer can be used with or without the app. The app is easy to setup and navigation is simple. It can'track the temperatures of everyone in the family. You can easily store the readings for future reference, such as doctor's appointments. If you don't need to store the information, you can delete it. You can choose different icons for each family member, which my daughter loves. A great benefit of the app is it allows you track the times that you have given or taken medicines which is perfect when you are using a fever reducer. The app also offers resources such as information on common illnesses and how to soothe symptoms which I fI'd helpful. I wish I had this thermometer when my daughter was younger and suffered from frequent ear infections. It would have been such a help to be able to track everything in one place. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer.

So this thermometer is pretty cool and the app definitely puts it over the top for me. First things first I yested the thermometer against the basic hospital thermometer we got when the kids were born and it was within the same range so pretty accurate in my opinion. Taking both my 5 and 2 year old temperature was super easy just push the button and up it pops. If you have it linked to your phone app it pops up quickly and then asks about other symptoms. My son had a stomach bug with no fever so when I input symptoms it gave me an article about telling a stomach bug from food poisoning which I thought was a nice touch. I honestly think the app was the best part of the thermometer and really sets it apart. You can set up multiple accounts and when you take someone's temp it asks who to put the information under so thst is convenient. Thank you to the Weespring parent panel for sending me this product to review. Even though it was sent to me the review is my honest opinion.

My family started using this thermometer right in the heart of cold, flu, and strep season. My entire family used this thermometer. It was very easy to use and by far the fastest thermometer we own. We really liked syncing everything to the app. It was very easy to track temperatures - especI'lly with our 2 year old son! Toddlers don't want to sit'still for anything so we greatly appreciated how quickly this took an accurate temperature. This product is easy to use, including setting up the app. I received this product through the weeSpring Parent Panel.

I received the Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer as part of the weeSpring parent panel. I was initI'lly intimidated by the product and the fact that I had to download the app and load my chI'dren as I'dividual users. However, once all that set-up was done, I was very pleased with the thermometer! It was fast, painless, accurate, and really easy to use. I would recommend this product!

I received the Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I've been using it for two weeks, and I really like how easy it is to use. Just press a button and it gives a reading in seconds. it's so easy to use I had to hide it from my kids to stop them from taking dozens of readings at a time! The app is also a breeze, and automatically syncs readings from the thermometer. You can set up profiles for your family and it tracks temperature readings by person. It also asks you helpful questions to gather data beyond the temperature reading. I can't speak to the accuracy of the thermometer except to say that it'seems directionally correct. I have another, non-smart ear thermometer that gave different readings, but within the margin of error. Overall, it's a great product made even better by a great app.

I received this thermometer to try from the WeeSpring Parent Panel. It included the 2 AA batteries it required so start up was quick and it was ready to go. I'downloaded the iPhone app and it'synced right away. I created 2 profiles for my 2 chI'dren. The app has a feature to guide you based on temperature and symptoms which is nice for non-medical parents'who may need more info. It asks things like if they have a cough, vomiting, etc. I also liked the feature of the app to enter any medications administered and has an alarm feature to remI'd you when next dose is due. At the press of a button the temperature read quickly and it is ready to take the next temperature quickly as well. It also comes with a small probe cover which clicks easily onto and off the unit. The unit is easy to hold and feels great ergonomically. The screen is large enough and has large text for easy to read numbers. Overall a great thermometer and I would recommend to Medical and non-medical parents'as well

I was looking forward to trying this thermometer, as we have gone through numerous models in our house because I haven't trusted their accuracy, and many have proved finicky to get readings with, which is never easy with a cranky, sick toddler. Upon receiving the product, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to remove from the package. No difficult blister pack that required a garage full of tools to get into--a big plus! Batteries were included--Duracell! Directions were clear, and the app was easy to download and install on my iPhone. Both of my young chI'dren took an interest in selecting their personal icons from the options provided, and as I tested it out over the next week or so, were excited to look for their image. We set up a profile for all of the members of the household, to keep things easy and consistent. With our first tries, the accuracy seemed to be good. After each use, the app asks you to select which profile you want to store the reading in, and if there are any additional symptoms. So if you open it in another profile from the one you want to store the reading in, it is easy to make the switch. I opted for the Sesame Street Mode because toddlers, and they loved hearing Elmo's voice after their readings. Neither chI'd mI'ded having their temperature taken, and the reading was quick and easy--no waiting for a long time. While no one in my house ran a fever during our testing time, every time I pulled it out and trI'd it the readings seemed accurate, and not cookie-cutter same from person to person. It was also easy to use on myself. The cap for the thermometer was very nice, easy to remove and put back on, and I liked how it propped the tip of the thermometer off of the surface it was on. Originally I activated the notifications from the app for use while using the app, but after the initial use I found these unnecessary and disabled them. On a whole, I like the app. I'do wish there was a family page that summarized recent readings or other notations, sort of a main page? Instead of having to click over to each family member I'dividually. I am very pleased so far with this thermometer and would absolutely recommend it to friends. I was given this Ear Thermometer to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. This review is my own opinion.

I was in the market for a new thermometer once my daughter grew into the toddler years. She was not willing to sit'still for the rectal thermometer and I had a hard time getting a good reading with the temporal thermometer because she would thrash her head around while I was trying to take a reading. Luckily, I was given the Kinsa ear thermometer to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I was a little skeptical to try it'since I read that ear thermometers are not as accurate, but at this point in my chI'd's development, what I really needed was something fast, and Kinsa delivers! Kinsa delivers a reading really fast and it connects to an app on your phone, which is a great feature. You can choose characters for each of your kids, so I chose Elmo, my toddler's favorite character, and she loves how he praises her for a job well done after she gets her temperature taken. Smart move, Kinsa! I also love the app because it gives you suggestions for symptom management depending on the temp, and you can keep a log of temps over time, which is super helpful for calling the doctor. I was never good at keeping a written log and would always forget. One thing that has been really helpful for us is letting our daughter role play with the thermometer when she's not sick. She started placing her hand on her baby doll's forehead and saying, "oh no! baby hot!" and then we have to run upstairs and check baby's temperature with the Kinsa. Sometimes we also check mom and dad's temperature too. This has made a huge difference in her willingness to let us take her temperature when she's not feeling well. I'm not really worrI'd about the 100% accuracy of ear thermometers anymore because the Kinsa is close enough, and if I really had to, I could use a rectal to double-check if needed. This is a totally worthwhile purchase if you want to make your life a little easier when you have a kI'do that's under the weather.
